Do you take Walk-ins?

We do our best to help anyone who wants a tattoo from us, so walk-ins are more than welcome when we have availability.  For larger projects, an appointment is preferred.  An appointment allows your artist enough time to design the best possible product and will usually create the opportunity for an in-depth conversation between client and artist.

Does it hurt?

It is a tolerable discomfort. A pain taken on voluntarily especially for a desired goal, is not the same as a pain that is not.

Is it safe?

We hold ourselves to the strictest sanitary practices and we use only disposable equipment. This means everything touching your skin will only have been used on you and then disposed of. After each procedure all stations are sanitized with the best medical grade products available.

How much will it cost?

The cost of a tattoo is determined by many factors including but not limited to size, placement, detail, and if it's black and grey or color. Smaller pieces will usually be given a flat rate quote before the tattoo is made. Larger pieces will be determined by an hourly rate but ultimately it’s up to each individual artist.

IS the Minimum Age 18+?

Yes. The State of Maine requires anyone being tattooed to be over the age of 18.

How can I prepare?

A good nights sleep and eating right are the best things to do in order to prepare. Coming to your appointment clean and well hydrated are great things as well. If you are sick in the days leading up to your appointment you should strongly consider rescheduling the appointment to a later date when you are healthier. Your tattoo won't be as painful, will heal better, and you’ll help us maintain a sanitary environment for everyone. We’ll be more than happy to work with you in order to reschedule your appointment.

Do:

  • Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your session.

  • Eat well and limit alcohol intake before and after your session.

  • Wear comfortable, clean clothing to your appointment.

  • Prepare clean bedsheets.

Do not:

  • Take a blood thinner like Ibuprofen before your session.

  • Tan, swim, or soak for at least two weeks after your session.

  • Wear tight clothing around your tattoo during or after your session.

Aftercare

Each artist may have slightly different instructions on how to care for your new tattoo but here's what our shop offers as general aftercare:
